Bookings

How do smart offers work?+

Each car has an accepted price range. Offers at or above the auto-accept price book instantly. Offers in the range are sent to the host, who has 1 hour to respond.

Can I cancel a booking?+

Yes — free cancellation up to 24 hours before pick-up. Within 24 hours, a 50% fee applies. No-shows forfeit the full amount.

Can I extend my rental?+

Yes, message your host through the app. Extensions are subject to availability and the same daily rate as your original booking.

Payments

When am I charged?+

We only authorize a refundable deposit when your offer is accepted. The full rental amount is charged 24 hours before pick-up.

What is the security deposit?+

Most cars require a refundable $500–$2,000 hold, returned within 72 hours of trip completion if there's no damage.

Which payment methods are accepted?+

All major credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Am I insured during the trip?+

Yes. Every LuxBidr trip includes commercial-grade liability and physical damage coverage. Optional add-on coverage is available at checkout.

What if there's an accident?+

Pull over safely, call emergency services if needed, then call our 24/7 line at +1 (800) LUX-HELP. We handle the rest.

How do I get verified?+

Upload a valid driver's license and a quick selfie. Verification typically completes within 5 minutes.

Why was my booking declined?+

Bookings can be declined if your verification is pending, your offer was outside the accepted range, or the host had a calendar conflict.
